Start and finish time of webinar
10:00, 11:30

Operational partnerships and localisation are one of the key approaches in Terre des hommes' 2021-2024 strategy, which recognises the importance of a profound shift in power dynamics between different actors in both humanitarian and development contexts.

As part of this commitment, we have developed the Partnership and Localisation Policy - the simplified version of which was presented by Martin Gallard, Tdh Partnership and Localisation Project Manager. As an integral part of this strategy, the LocaLink Hub was created to become a global platform providing curated, free e-learning and capacity building opportunities for local and national actors. The platform is a month-old resource and was presented by Enikő Vass, Content and Communication Manager at Tdh. The project is financed by the Somaha Foundation.

The introductory presentations were followed by a panel discussion where we discussed with our guests how localisation is changing the way we work on capacity development.

Invited panellists:

  • Ana Majko, Executive Director, Initiative Arsis, Albania
  • Barry Smith, Co-Director, Social Development Direct
  • Esther Marthaler, Head of Partnerships, Helvetas
  • Eva Jaag, Managing Director, Somaha Foundation
  • Kyra Marwaha, Country Director, Tdh India/Nepal
  • Mohammad Zahidul, Director, Breaking the silence, Bangladesh
